UCILIV SUSPENSION
Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) 125 mg per 5 ml Dry Syrup is a bile acid formulation used in the management of liver and gallbladder disorders in children.
It works by reducing cholesterol absorption and breaking down cholesterol-rich bile stones.
UDCA also has hepatoprotective properties, improving liver enzyme levels and supporting healthy liver function.
Supplied as a pleasantly flavored dry syrup for easy paediatric administration.
This syrup is prescribed for:
Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (non-calcified)
Cholestatic liver diseases such as:
Biliary atresia (post-surgery support)
Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)
Intrahepatic cholestasis (including drug-induced or neonatal cholestasis)
Improvement of liver function in certain chronic liver disorders
Protection of liver cells from bile acid–induced damage
