Linezolid 100 mg Dry Syrup is an oxazolidinone-class antibiotic.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth of bacteria.
Effective against gram-positive bacteria, including resistant strains like MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus) and VRE (Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci).
Specially formulated as a dry syrup for paediatric patients to ensure accurate dosing.
It is prescribed for treating serious bacterial infections, such as:
Pneumonia (community-acquired and hospital-acquired)
Skin and soft tissue infections
Resistant gram-positive infections (including MRSA & VRE)
Septicemia and bacteremia (as per doctor’s recommendation)
Infections where other antibiotics are ineffective
