Lactulose 70% USP (10 g) is a synthetic disaccharide used as a gentle osmotic laxative. It draws water into the intestines, making stools softer and easier to pass. In addition, it helps reduce ammonia levels in the blood, making it useful in liver-related conditions.
Constipation (chronic & occasional): Softens stools and promotes natural bowel movement.
Hemorrhoids & anal fissures: Eases painful defecation.
Hepatic encephalopathy: Lowers blood ammonia levels and prevents associated complications in patients with liver disease (cirrhosis).
