Deflazacort 6 mg is a corticosteroid (glucocorticoid) medicine with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is used as an alternative to prednisolone with fewer side effects on bones and growth.
Deflazacort 6 mg is prescribed for:
Allergic conditions (asthma, rhinitis, skin allergies)
Inflammatory disorders (arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease)
Autoimmune diseases (lupus, multiple sclerosis)
Respiratory diseases (COPD, interstitial lung disease)
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD): to improve muscle strength and slow progression
Post-transplant therapy to prevent organ rejection
