Lactulose 10 g / 15 ml is a synthetic sugar (disaccharide) used as an osmotic laxative. It works by drawing water into the intestine, softening stools, and stimulating bowel movements. It is also used in certain liver conditions to lower ammonia levels in the blood.
Constipation (chronic or occasional): Softens stools and relieves difficulty in passing stools.
Hemorrhoids & anal fissures: Makes bowel movements easier and less painful.
Hepatic encephalopathy (liver disease): Helps reduce absorption of ammonia and improves mental status.
