COSTUS B SYRUP
Costus B Syrup is a combination bronchodilator, mucolytic, and expectorant oral syrup used for the effective management of productive (wet) cough associated with chest congestion and excessive mucus formation. It helps in thinning thick sputum, clearing blocked airways, and improving overall breathing comfort.
This formulation contains Bromhexine Hydrochloride 4 mg, Guaifenesin 50 mg, Terbutaline Sulphate 1.25 mg, and Menthol 2.5 mg per 5 ml. Bromhexine Hydrochloride acts as a mucolytic agent that breaks down and liquefies mucus, Guaifenesin works as an expectorant that helps in the expulsion of bronchial secretions, Terbutaline Sulphate acts as a bronchodilator that relaxes airway smooth muscles to ease breathing, and Menthol provides a soothing effect that helps relieve throat irritation and respiratory discomfort.
