  • Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) 125 mg per 5 ml Dry Syrup is a bile acid formulation used in the management of liver and gallbladder disorders in children.

  • It works by reducing cholesterol absorption and breaking down cholesterol-rich bile stones.

  • UDCA also has hepatoprotective properties, improving liver enzyme levels and supporting healthy liver function.

  • Supplied as a pleasantly flavored dry syrup for easy pediatric administration.

This syrup is prescribed for:

  • Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (non-calcified)

  • Cholestatic liver diseases such as:

    • Biliary atresia (post-surgery support)

    • Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)

    • Intrahepatic cholestasis (including drug-induced or neonatal cholestasis)

  • Improvement of liver function in certain chronic liver disorders

  • Protection of liver cells from bile acid–induced damage
