Lixomol-M Suspension is a paediatric formulation designed to provide effective relief from pain, inflammation, and fever in children. It combines two well-known medications: Mefenamic Acid (50 mg) and Paracetamol (125 mg) per 5 ml, offering a synergistic approach to managing various discomforts.
Pain Relief: Alleviates mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, and postoperative discomfort.
Anti-inflammatory Action: Reduces inflammation associated with conditions like arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders.
Fever Reduction: Effectively lowers fever, providing comfort during febrile illnesses.
Dosage
Administer the dosage as prescribed by your paediatrician, which typically depends on your child’s age and weight. Common dosing guidelines are:
6 months to 1 year: 2.5 ml, three times daily
2 to 4 years: 5 ml, three times daily
5 to 8 years: 7.5 ml, three times daily
9 to 12 years: 10 ml, three times daily
Administration Instructions
Shake well before each use to ensure a uniform suspension.
Measure accurately using the provided measuring cup or dropper.
Administer orally, preferably with food to minimize the risk of stomach upset.
Maintain a consistent schedule, giving the medicine at the same times each day.
If vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of administration, you may repeat the dose.
